Kaivy Alteration Studio: A Website Built Around How Brides Book

A bespoke website for a couture and bridal alterations specialist — designed to build trust, explain services and prices clearly, and turn visitors into appointment requests.

The client

Kaivy Alteration Studio is a couture, bridal and formal wear alterations studio in Lake Forest, California, serving brides and clients across Orange County. Its lead seamstress brings over 25 years of couture experience.

The studio works by appointment, offering private fittings and complimentary bridal consultations for wedding dress alterations. That shaped everything about the website.

The challenge

For a bride choosing who to trust with her wedding dress, reassurance matters as much as price. Visitors needed to see the quality of the work and the experience behind it before they would get in touch.

The studio also offers two quite different services — bridal alterations and everyday alterations — with different pricing. Mixing them together would confuse both kinds of customer.

What the studio needed

A website that builds trust quickly, separates bridal and general alterations clearly, gives honest price guidance before anyone picks up the phone, and makes requesting an appointment simple — especially from a mobile.

Our approach

We planned the site around the customer’s journey: first confidence, then the right service, then clarity on price, then an easy way to book. Rather than a generic template, every page was planned around how this studio actually works — appointment-based, detail-focused and personal.

What we built

Elegant, bespoke design

A refined look that reflects the craftsmanship of couture and bridal work. The first screen states exactly what the studio does — “Couture, Bridal & Formal Wear Alterations” — with buttons for each service and a tap-to-call link.

Trust, up front

The opening section highlights the studio’s experience, private appointment-based fittings and its Google rating, so visitors understand straight away why they can trust the studio.

Two clear service paths

Bridal Alterations and General Alterations each have their own page and their own pricing, so a bride and someone needing jeans hemmed both find what they need without wading through the other.

Transparent price guides

The bridal price guide is grouped the way brides think about their gown — length and hemline, waist and seams, straps and sleeves, bodice and back, veil and finishing — with estimated ranges confirmed after an in-person fitting. A separate guide covers everyday alterations.

Gallery of real work

Separate bridal and general galleries, with labelled examples and before-and-after photos, let the work speak for itself.

Appointment request form

Customers choose their garment type, a preferred date and a half-hour time slot, and describe the alterations they need. A “How did you hear about us?” question helps the studio see which channels bring in bookings, and a hidden spam trap keeps junk submissions out.

Built for mobile visitors

Tap-to-call, WhatsApp and Instagram links, opening hours, the studio address and a “Get Directions” link make it simple to contact or visit from a phone.

Set up for local search

The page title and content describe the service and location in plain terms, and the footer lists the surrounding areas the studio serves, including Lake Forest, Irvine, Mission Viejo and Laguna Hills — helping the right local customers find it.

On desktop and mobile

Many brides first look at the studio on their phone, so the layout was designed for both screens rather than shrunk down from desktop.
